Homework Help: Force of tension

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

    a person balances in the middle of a tightrope 14.2m in length. the middle of the rope is 2.3m below the secured ends. if the persos weight is 6.3x10^2 N(down) determine the magnitude of the tension in the rope.

    Try drawing a picture if you havent already. And then sum all the forces.
