Force on Body

  1. Jan 29, 2013 #1
The speed of a body mass m = 1.6 kg moving in a straight line varies smoothly. It is measured five times, at two second intervals. The values are 7.00, 7.77, 8.89, 9.80, and 10.50 (m/s). What is the maximum value of the force acting on the body?

I tried taking the average acceleration of the whole system and plugging it into F=ma but that didn't work. Then I tried finding the change in momentum but still unsuccessful.

why would the average be the maximum?
