News Francis Collins as Presidential Science Advisor?

  1. Jan 6, 2008 #1
Don't know if P&WA is the best forum for this, but here we go. What do you think of the idea of Francis Collins as the next Presidential Science Advisor? (idea originally from http://scienceblogs.com/framing-science/2008/01/an_endorsement_for_francis_col.php [Broken])

I mean, what not to like?

    - Good science communicator and popularizer
    - Well-known, both to the public and in the scientific community
    - Talented Scientist
    - Government experience
    - Evangelical Christian who accepts evolution
