French Newspaper reports of Bin Laden's death, accuracy in question

I'm not believing anything yet; but I could see why this would be kept quiet if it were true. And I have to wonder(ignoring this article), if say he actually dies in a year or two, how would that information ever get back to us? If we have the ability to monitor his health, why can't we monitor his location? I really don't think those in hiding with him would, upon his death, spread the word that Bin Laden has died; I can't see how that would benifit them.
