Gearbox Question

    I have a 2.2 KW 24000RPM motor i want to gear to 200RPM. What is the effective torque on the output shaft?

    If you assume the output power of the motor occurs at its maximum rpm, you can calculate the torque it is developing at that RPM. Then, all you have to do is multiply that number by 24000/200 and you've got your output torque.

    Easy! And next time, put this in the homework section and show some work.
