    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
    A tripeptide chain consists of three amino acids, which can be distinguished as first, second and third. Each is one of 20 naturally occurring amino acids. How many tripeptide chains are theoretically possible?

    2. Relevant equations


    3. The attempt at a solution
    would it simply be 20x20x20=8000?
