Has anyone tried to completely rid their life of television? I am on a quest myself to do so, and I am finding it difficult. I just can't help Seinfeld, and Family Guy. Any words of advice?

radou said:So what? Watch Seinfeld and Family Guy, or whatever. They don't last the whole day. I.e. reduce the number of shows you want to watch to some reasonable amount of time. I reduced my TV-time to a minimum, which is watching The Sopranos once a week and some movie, perhaps. I'm lucky because the TV program is so bad, that you'd have to be really brainwashed or braindamaged to watch it.

There are a few ways to get rid of your TV. You can donate it to a charity or thrift store, sell it online or at a garage sale, or recycle it at a local electronics recycling center.
Getting rid of your TV can help reduce your screen time and promote more active and productive activities. It can also save you money on cable or streaming subscriptions.
It depends on how you use your TV. If you primarily watch TV alone, then getting rid of it may encourage you to spend more time with friends and family. However, if you often watch TV with others, it may affect your social life in the short term, but you can find alternative activities to do together.
Yes, you can still watch your favorite shows without a TV. You can stream them on a computer, tablet, or phone, or watch them at a friend's house. Alternatively, you can try finding new activities to do instead of watching TV.
It can be challenging to resist the temptation to watch TV, especially if it was a significant part of your daily routine. To resist the urge, you can try filling your time with other activities, setting specific times for TV watching, or removing the TV from your home altogether.
