Good books on white dwarf

    Hi fellas, I have taken white dwarf stars as my undergrad thesis choice, so I need some suggestion on good books on dwarf. please suggest me books for both reading and for some mathematical derivations regarding the white dwarf

    You'll want a book that covers dense stars like:

    I'd also suggest picking one or more representative white dwarf stars and concentrate on them, you thesis will thus be more focussed.

    You may also find Dr. Jay Holberg's book Sirius: The Brightest Diamond in the Night Sky of value. He's an expert on white dwarfs, and the Sirius system has the nearest white dwarf of all--although it was not the first one to be found, contrary to what you'll read in a lot of places.
