My question is how would you do a graphical matlab fourier transform analysis of f(t) = e^at?

Would my matlab code look something like this?

y=exp(-a*t);

Y=fft(y,512);

magY=abs(Y)*T;

phaseY=(180/pi)*angle(Y);

f=(1/T)*(1:128)/256;

w=2*pi*f;
