Gravity based flow control system to regulate liquid flow for a drinking toy.

    I would like to make a device that pours beer from a high location to a constant position on the ground below. This is to facilitate long distance pouring for party environments. I am in computer engineering myself, and don't exactly know the best way to go about building this.

    I was thinking about a variable orifice solution that has similar mechanics to a toilet, where float on the surface of the beer would determine how big the orifice is. I fear that the stream of beer would be too wide near the end of the pour and cause a mess; I feel like I could do better.

    I was also looking up plumbing valves, but the low pressure valves that I found were for pressures of roughly 25 psi, which is still much higher then the pressure I am dealing with.

    I realize that this is not as serious as the other topics, and I suggest you give those in more immediate need of advice precedence. However, if you have time to spare, any advice you might have would be very much appreciated.
