Exploring the Universe: A Beginner's Guide to Astrophysics and Beyond

Howdy y'all. An introduction is in order, I guess. I'm a 40-year old post-graduate student gone pretty rusty with stuff and recently entered an astrophysics course so my stay here will probably alternate between asking questions and being embarrassed at how obvious the answers were. Anyway, it's great that a site such as this exists, congratulations to everyone responsible for its creation and maintenance :)
