Hello!

I'm a software developer with a CS degree and the associated level of math and physics knowledge; little and none, respectively. :) I've been a fan of these forums and the high level of discussion for a while. I even had a lurker account back in 2008, but sadly it appears to have vanished.

See you all on the forums!

Have tried doing software simulations of physical systems?

Thanks! I used to love making simple particle simulations, but nothing as cool as some of the awesome elasticity or fluid mechanics demos I've seen others do.

There's a cool toolkit with lots of examples in Java for doing simulations called Open Source Physics
