Hello, somewhere I could read that in direct band semiconductors near k=0, conduction band eigen spinor (u(k=0)) is |s> like, split off band as -(1/sqrt(3))(|x> - i*|y>) + (1/sqrt(3)) |z> like. And similarly for other bands, heavy hole and light hole also, corresponding eigen spinors were given. Here |x> denotes px orbital wave function, for seminconductor of concern and similarly for others. Can some one please through some light, or suggest some reading on, how something like this comes up.(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
