How Does an Electrical Engineering Project Hover a Ping Pong Ball?

  • Thread starter Adrian Collings

In summary, an electrical engineering project can hover a ping pong ball by using a combination of principles such as Bernoulli's principle and electrostatic repulsion. The project involves creating an air vortex through a ring of electrodes, which lifts the ping pong ball and keeps it suspended in mid-air. This demonstration showcases the application of electrical engineering in creating unique and fascinating projects.

Hi there I am an electrical engineering student from strathclyde who loves getting angry when my projects don't go to plan!

I am in third year so really just what the university has thrown at me so far. We are building a device that can accurately hover a ping pong ball at a certain height whilst measuring what height it is at. It's pretty cool I just hope I can get it done on time.
