Hello. I'm new to this forum. I'm starting a PhD now on CFD, and can't wait to dive in! (intended)

CFD is a big huge jungle. I'll need many tools to make my way through it. The one I have identified in this early stage as the most important is the machete (mathematics). Since mine is a little blunt at the moment, I'm really looking to sharpen that up before I enter.

My journey begins with Stephen Pope's "Turbulent Flows". The very beginning for me is trying to understand Cartesian Tensors. If anyone has any inside tips, suggestions, guidance or just wants to talk fluids, I'd be very happy.

Thanks!
