What is the Bell Hypothesis in Quantum Mechanics?

Hello, I'm a new member on this site and I have a hypothesis that struck me one day. I've been sitting on it for four years but I'm hoping to explore it further and possibly with the help of others. I really hope this site is the place to do it. I'm willing to do the homework required because when I read brief and extremely summarized versions of quantum mechanics and other physics stuff it sometimes rings a bell. I'm intrigued by this bell. Help me get started.
