Help Now Amine Naming

    Help Now!! Amine Naming Urgent!

    CH3CH2CH2CHCH2CH=CH2

    There is a NH2 on the 2 and 4 Carbon

    I think the name is 4,6-heptyldiamine

    because there is a double bond and there are seven carbons can someone tell me if this is correct right now please!!!!!!!:confused: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

    Step at a time: 1) name the hydrocarbon skeleton; 2) then, assign position numbers to the substituents.

    I don't understand there are seven carbons with one double bond so I have heptene as the parent chain

    Where is the double bond? Between which pair of carbons?
