Help tension

    Help!!... tension

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

    A train is made up of 3 carriages is pulled along a level track by a force of 16500N. Each of the carriages has a mass of 8000 KG, and each experiences 1500N of resistance forces. The train is accelerating at 0.5 m/s/s.

    Work out the tension in link B

    2. Relevant equations

    F = ma


    3. The attempt at a solution

    Need some urgent help....homework due for tomorrow, thanks in advance!!

    there are three carriages call them X, Y, Z.
    carriages x and y are connected by link a.
    carriages y and z are connected by link b.

    the engine is pulling via carriage x.
