In summary, the student is currently conducting an extended experimental investigation on the impact of different wavelengths of light on the electrical output of a solar cell for their year 12 physics class in Australia. They are requesting for any secondary data related to this topic to supplement their own research. Some potential resources for this experiment include studies such as "Solar Cell Performance & Wavelength Dependence" and "The Influence of Wavelength on the Performance of a Solar Cell."

Homework Statement

hey, at the moment I am doing year 12 physics in australia and I am completing an extended experimental investigation on the different outputs of electricity on a solar cell in relation to different wavelengths of light.

everything is fine with reference to the physics however i just need secondary data to discuss as well as my own. I am finding this very difficult to do at the moment.

I was wondering if anybody knows of or has any secondary data for this experiment. it would be of tremondous help!

again, I am investigating the effect of different wavelengths of light on the electrical output of a photovoltaic cell.

cheers :)

1. What is secondary data?

Secondary data refers to information that has already been collected and analyzed by someone else, such as government agencies, research organizations, or other scientists. It is often used in research to supplement or support primary data that is collected directly by the researcher.

2. Why is secondary data useful in research?

Secondary data can provide valuable insights and information that may not be readily available through primary data collection. It can also help to validate or support findings from primary data, and may save time and resources in the research process.

3. How do I access secondary data?

Secondary data can be accessed through various sources, such as government databases, academic journals, and online data repositories. It is important to ensure that the data is reliable and relevant to your research topic.

4. What are the limitations of using secondary data?

One limitation of secondary data is that it may not be specific or detailed enough for your research needs. Additionally, the data may be outdated or not readily available. It is important to critically evaluate the quality and relevance of the data before using it in your research.

5. How do I properly cite secondary data in my research?

It is essential to properly cite any secondary data used in your research, just as you would for any other source. This includes providing the author, title, publication date, and source of the data. If the data is not publicly available, you may need to obtain permission from the original source before using it in your research.
