Hi, I'm a relatively new member of PF. I have a suggestion for posters in the Career Guidance Subforum. If you need advice concerning further academic schooling or concerning careers, please specify what country you are in now, in what country (or countries) you have previously studied or worked, and in what country (or countries) you plan to pursue further academic training or a career.
Sometimes this info is available in a poster's profile, sometimes it is not. Regardless, you are more likely to receive relevant advice if you supply pertinent info. Relevant advice on topics such as academic programs, resumes, interviews, and career opportunities vary significantly from country to country.
So, for example, if you're a US citizen with a PhD in physics from a US university seeking a postdoc with a university in Germany, you need advice from someone familiar with German universities. Similarly, if you're a Chinese citizen with a PhD from a Canadian university seeking a job with a US company, you need advice from someone familiar with US companies. And the options available to you will likely depend on your citizenship and previous universities.
