In summary, Voltaic piles, also known as voltaic cells or batteries, are still relevant in modern experiments due to their ability to generate a steady electric current. They have been improved and refined over the years, making them an essential tool in various fields such as chemistry, physics, and engineering. While alternative sources of electricity have been developed, voltaic piles remain a crucial component in many experiments and continue to play a significant role in powering devices and conducting research.

Hi folks I was cruising the web and came across a thread by "Old codger" who seemed to be getting interesting results in voltaic piles. Which seemed to mirror some things I was getting in some of my experiments. So I decided to join in.
