Welcome to PF, Lawrence (or do you prefer Larry?). Do you know him from elsewhere, mattmns?

Hi, and thank you for the welcomes.
I am not sure who mattmns is. Maybe.

No, I don't know him (at least I don't think I know him). But I figured that since he was using the term "PF" he has been browsing around a bit. I could be wrong though.

I found PF by searches about glass (it's phase of matter).

I'm asking if someone would show me the archived thread
that settles (if it does) the "will the airplane fly" question.

    Welcome to PF,

    This topic has been discussed to death on these forums, I swear if one more person posts the question I'm going to cry :grumpy: Anyway, here's one of the more extended threads;

Hi Hootenanny, thank you for your reply.
I did see that thread, and that one was
pretty hard to endure reading through. ;)

Has anyone known a site that shows
    conclusively one convincing argument
about this, that isn't a matter of back
and forth debate, like on a msg board?

Aren't there best and bright minds
somewhere for whom this is easy
to answer, that they may have
done so, and let us cretins like
me ;) not have to strain my two
brain cells trying to answer it?

Actually, I have had a certain answer to this
as, seemingly everyone else does, also, I don't
want to offer it though, and obviously it depends
on the question itself as to exactly how it is stated,
and considering that given conditions are exactly that.
