In summary, functional electrodes are used in novel biosensing applications to detect and measure various biological substances and processes. These electrodes are designed with specific properties and materials to achieve high sensitivity, selectivity, and stability for accurate and reliable sensing. They play a crucial role in the development of biosensors for a wide range of applications, including medical diagnosis, environmental monitoring, and food safety. Functional electrodes are continuously being researched and improved to enhance their performance and expand their applications in the field of biosensing.

Hello together,

my name is Matthias and I am new to the PF :)
I am currently a PhD student in Applied Physics, and am working on functional electrodes (metallic and semiconducting) for novel biosensing applications. I just stumbled across PF, and thought it would be a great opportunity to share science related experiences and questions. I look forward to interacting with you guys!
