Homework Help: Hodgkin-Huxley model

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

    Hello everyone,

I am starting my hw and I have to create a simulation using matlab and before I begin I want to clarify a few questions.

Part A) wants me to estimate the voltage threshold for excitation.

The way I interpret this is to find the smallest value when the action potential is reached.

Part B wants me to do the same thing but for the current.

    What do you guys think?

Yes. The HH model does not have a true theshold, so various thresholds are useful approximations under certain circumstances. When you give your answer, if you can, state under what conditions your estimate might be useful.
