I am sitting here eating some hotdogs and I noticed that each hotdog is exactly the same size as the hotdog bun. Wow! This is the first time I have ever had this happen, now for that first bite, and it won't be half bread
Well they made me happy! I am not sure why they were a little bigger anyway. I do not think it is that hard to precisely place my hotdog into a bun lolMoonbear said:That can only mean one thing! Check the weight on the package of hot dog buns! They've discovered they can sell you less bread for the same amount of money and make you happy about it to shrink the buns to fit the dogs.
This is because hotdog manufacturers typically produce hotdogs in packages of 10, while bun manufacturers produce buns in packages of 8. This has been a long-standing industry practice and is not likely to change anytime soon.
Having perfectly matched hotdogs and buns ensures that each bite of your hotdog is well-balanced and enjoyable. It also prevents the frustration of either running out of hotdog or having leftover buns.
While it is possible to mix and match different brands, it may not result in the best flavor combination. Different brands may have different textures, flavors, and sizes, which can affect the overall taste of your hotdog.
If you have leftover hotdogs, you can freeze them for later use. Buns can also be frozen, but they may become slightly dry when defrosted. It is best to consume both hotdogs and buns within a few days of purchase for optimal freshness.
If you are unable to find perfectly matched hotdogs and buns, you can try using mini hotdog buns or cutting regular buns in half to fit the size of your hotdog. You can also consider using other types of bread, such as pita or tortillas, for a unique twist on the traditional hotdog bun.
