Programs How is the University at Albany's Nanoscale Engineering PhD program's reputation?

  1. Mar 18, 2012 #1
I got accepted to this program and to University of Maryland's materials engineering program (where I would also be studying nanoscale properties), and was curious how the nanoscale engineering program there is regarded, since it is never ranked (since it doesn't fit in any engineering categories). The facilities are great and they seem to have close ties with industry, but academically I'm curious whether their professors are viewed as heavyweights in the field. Additionally, they gave me a much lower stipend than UMD, so I'm curious whether it would be worth it, or if the two are comparable. Thanks!

...does no replies mean it doesn't have much of a reputation at all?! anyone?!
