    How do u compare the following two books from John Wiley & Sons

    "Fundamentals of Physics" by Halliday, Resnick & Walker (Sixth edition)
    "Physics" by Halliday, Resnick & Krane (fifth edition)

    I really like the 6th edition...the concepts are clearly stated with good examples and figures...
    i believe both the editions are pretty much the same but the 6th edition's problem sets are easy...but if you want challenging problems you can check out their supplement exercise book.
    In a word the sixth edition is "concise"

    Does it mean that fifth edition is more advance in topics than sixth edition
