I need help! =[

  1. Oct 13, 2009 #1
    A person with "normal" vision has a near point of 25.0cm, which is the closest distance the person can see clearly. Farsighted Francois has a near point of 85.0cm, Francois would like to be able to read a newspaper at the normal distance and would like to correct his vision s he is not farsighted.

    a)What focal length CONTACT lenses would he need to correct his vision to normal?

    b)What is the lens power is diopters?

    Sooo, I know that:

    1/p+1/q=1/f

    Sooo,

    1/25.0+1/-85.0=1/f

    f=+35.4cm

    D=1/.354
    D=+2.82
