I agree with brewnog on this. I put function and performance over form. However, form is important in the sense of aerodynamics which does influence traction.
One can not be logical with these things Astro, how can some one love a
machine that has a constant loss oil system and does a max of 60 mph, but
we exsist

I'm not sure where it originated, but sticking a V8 into a motorcycle is nothing new. Alot of them are Chevy 350 motors. :yuck: They aren't real practical, but many things people build are not.

I've seen motorcycles with 427's and one or more V-12's. Definitely not practical. I guess they're called "concept bikes" or "funny bikes" .

V12? Pathetic!

How about a Rolls Royce Allison gas turbine?

Dear god someone lock this thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am in physical pain looking at these images.

This thread is in serious need of a few real bikes. Here is just one example of the great bikes that comes out of dc cruisers.

(You have to see the bikes they have in their store)
Is that you, Cyrus?

Yuck I have always hated Boss Hoss bikes, they look terrible. I'd be much more content with a nice new harley streetbob (one day......lol).

I think someone did a V-16, probably an aircraft engine. I think someone did a bike with one or two Allsion V-12's.

Personally, I never understood putting a 'big' power plant in a small vehicle. Just because one can do something technically doesn't mean one should.

Well for some maybe

Besides, I am strictly interested in the engineering aspects.

The Streetbob? For a harley they are cheap.....you can get them up here for just under $20 000, the only problem is getting one, they are so popular they are sold before they hit the showroom floor.
