Immuno compromisation

  1. Jan 17, 2008 #1
What are the negative effects that could happen to an immuno-compromised person? Could a temporarily immuno-compromised person live in a bubble/sterile room whatever and probably definetly be fine?

Is NFKappaB/what made the mice younger a gene or a protein?

Without immunity, any bacterium that's harmless to a healthy person could potentially kill the immuno-compromised individual.

If temporarily compromised, staying in a bubble could provide protection, but is not guaranteed. I believe most people who had leukemia or myeloma and had undergone treatments that compromised their immunities are required to stay in a sterile room until further notice.
