# Infinite possibilities

this one's easy and totally visual once you know the answer...

what is 90 degrees from infinity?

2. Jan 20, 2005

### K.J.Healey

highlight to read (its in LemonChiffon)

+/- infinity*i in complex space.

### Up_Creek

while that may be entirely correct, and to some, easy, that's not something I can even understand. No, it's much easier than that. ;)

Don't overthink this one, the answer smaller than you think

If you draw a coordinate axis, like Y vs X but label the axis as "i" for y, and "1" for x, then you have the complex plane. a 90 degree rotation from positive infinity would be my previous answer.

Im stil ltrying to think of what you're answer is... I know I should approach it as a riddle rather than a math problem :(

### Up_Creek

Relax, the answer is under 10 ;)

and yeah, that's a huge hint

And over 7 ?

### dextercioby

90 degrees=90°=\frac{\pi}{2} radians (I hope u see where the infinite comes from)...

And is roughly 1.57<10.

Daniel.

### dextercioby

$$\arctan \infty =90deg$$

9. Jan 21, 2005

### Up_Creek

You win. The answer is 8. Rotate 8 90 degrees right or left and you have

$$\infty$$

### K.J.Healey

He didnt win!!! He was just doing math!!!
I see what you mean though.

What did the number 0 say to the number 8?

:Nice belt!:
