I'm confused over two different types of integral notation(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

1) ∫ (expression) dx

and

2) ∫dx (expression)

Are these the same thing?

Example: Do ∫(x^2)dx and ∫dx (x^2) mean the same thing? Or is there a difference?
