Introductory Chaos Theory Text

  1. Aug 27, 2007 #1
Does anyone have a recommendation on an introductory chaos theory text?

I would like a text that is either upper division undergrad, or possibly at the graduate level. Also, are there any "classics" or bibles in the field?

    Thanks you,

Chaos and Fractals: New Frontiers of Science (0387979034/ 978-0387979038)
by Heinz-Otto Peitgen, Hartmut Jürgens, Dietmar Saupe is a pretty interesting introductory text. The classic paper by Edward Lorenz is, well, classic.

Thank you. "Chaos and Fractals: New Frontiers of Science" is in my school's technical library, so I will pick it up.
