I cannot be sure you have seen this but the Inverse Function Theorem would apply here.

[tex]
\frac{d(f^-1(b)}{dx} = \frac{1}{\frac{df(a)}{dx}}
[/tex]

where

[tex]
f(a) = b
[/tex]
