Is Manned Space Travel More Beneficial Than Robot-Controlled Missions?

yep. i chose 3 option. find out what a place is like (probes) than create a suitable ship and suits, train people. probe with humans. then colonise.
 
An abvious choice to me: Let's ride !
 
I also chose the third option since it seems most logical...it's better to know what's out there before sending in humans...
 
indeed. it seems logical to 'research' what you are heading into. that allows you to create scenarios of the environment.. etc etc.

I'd love to just go out and have a space walk... that would be so cool, i reckon.
 
Are there any characteristics that manned-missions in space are better e.g. impact on scientific research and society, than robot-contolled missions?
