Is the Universe Analog or Digital?

Bell's bottom (line, that is)

You know, I don't address Bell's Theorem directly but I've got to say that you can't even invoke it unless you know ALL the variables.

For example:

I think it's easy in physics to get "centric" in our thinking, on at least two levels:

1) we reduce things dimensionally, so things like sine waves are stored in our brains as this two-dimensional pattern, but we forget that this is modeling so we don't extrapolate. This is an example, but I think you'll get my drift.

2) Lots of TOE theories require some fundamental starting point that we inhabit (like the Catholic Church <g>) whereas I'm thinking that analog physics would demonstrate that we're not in the center of anything; rather, stuff flows into and out of our "dimensionality," "universe," "frameset," in an orderly fashion.
