I've decided to pick glucose.

    I've decided to pick glucose. What exactly do they mean by describe the functional groups?

    A functional group is a characteristic group of atoms that determines the behavior of the molecule. Some common ones are alcohol groups (-OH), amino groups (-NH3), or carbon rings. Look up the structural formula on wikipedia, what functional groups does glucose have?
