Is James Bond Now Blond and Bearded?

In summary, Daniel Craig is not very attractive and does not fit the role of James Bond. He is a good actor, but not the right choice for the role.

There wasn't any independent page on CNN I managed to link up to; just a link to a 1:35 video clip.

I think Sean Connery became hotter as he got older. :tongue2:

Why do some men get better looking when they get older? It's not fair. :frown:

Oh it's fair enough, Evo.
After all, men don't get a face like a wrinkled apple, do they?

Eeeewwww! He's not attractive at all! He looks like he'd make a good villain, but not a good Bond! :yuck:

Hey, the dude from Layer Cake. In case you guys forgot, he is an actor, not an underwear model. I think he's a good choice.

Yeah, but the character James Bond is supposed to have a reputation as a ladies' man. You can't have someone totally unattractive fit that role. That would make the usual final scene in every James Bond film rather...icky.

the new james bond is supposed to be more like in the book, a "darker soul", rather than some guy who lounged around in a bed with some women and drank martinis :)

the pictures that they show in the articles of daniel don't really show him in his best, if you look at him in Layer Cake, he actually would look good as a bond i think. i'd like to hope they dye his hair...

according to the times, theyre trying to be more like "the iconic spy of the decade" - jack bauer (from 24) who is quite dark, (tortures people, would do anything for the cause, undercover ops, black ops stuff).

anybody know when casino royale will be out?

But that IS James Bond...martini, shaken, not stirred.

Much better than (too well known) Clive Owen and (Australian :uhh: ) Hugh Jackman - the supposed favourites.

I was still kinda holding out for a Quentin Tarantino directed Bond movie with Samuel L. Jackson as Bond.

Maybe one day hollywood will stop being so racist and let a brother get a crack at that role; unfortunately, that day has not yet come...

I personally think Clive Owen would've made a better Bond. If anyone has seen his movies on http://intl.bmwfilms.com/clap.asp?template=synopsis&country=australia&film=hostage you'll know what I'm talking about.

Hollywood can make anyone look attractive w/ enough make up. Have you ever seen pics of people like britney spears or JLO without their make up? They look friggin horrible and lesss than average looking.

Now not wanting to sound racist here but i don't think a coloured actor would ever be able to play james bond, just wouldn't be right. Samuel L Jackson is too cool but lacks enough class to play james bond, would make a fantastic bad guy though.

Some pics of Daniel Craig. He actually doesn't look too bad to me. Ofcourse I'm not the best judge so far as the heart throb factor goes.
And you ladies ought to realize that a mans ability to woo women comes more from his personality and the way he carries himself than the way he looks.

And the beard. Don't forget the beard.

What is the reason for James Bond being portrayed as blonde?

The decision to make James Bond blonde was made by the filmmakers in an effort to modernize the character and make him more relatable to a younger audience. The change in hair color was also seen as a way to differentiate the character from previous Bond actors.

How did the change in hair color affect the portrayal of James Bond?

While some fans were initially skeptical of the change in hair color, Daniel Craig's portrayal of Bond as a gritty and intense agent has been well received. The blonde hair has not affected the character's abilities or personality in any significant way.

Was the change in hair color a controversial decision?

Yes, there was some backlash from die-hard fans of the franchise who felt that James Bond should always be portrayed as a dark-haired, suave British spy. However, the decision to make Bond blonde was ultimately approved by the creators and has not had a significant impact on the success of the films.

Will James Bond always be portrayed as a blonde from now on?

While Daniel Craig has been the only blonde actor to play James Bond so far, there is no guarantee that future actors will also have blonde hair. The decision to change Bond's hair color was specific to the modernization of the character and may not be a permanent change.

Did the change in hair color affect the popularity of the James Bond franchise?

The change in hair color did not significantly affect the popularity of the franchise. The Bond films continue to be successful and well-received by audiences around the world, with or without a blonde Bond. Ultimately, it is the character's charm, wit, and action-packed storylines that keep fans coming back for more.
