Jupiter red dot

    why does the red dot on jupiter i think its like a storm or something or a hurricane but does anbody know why it does not stop? and the cause of it ?

    it will stop- but a storm the size of 3 earths might take a few centuries to dissapate-

    Note that, on Earth, hurricanes are dissipated when they hit land (something Jupiter doesn't have).
