    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data

    Using a circuit similar to the circuit of the figure, but with the 55.0-V and 57.0-V sources replaced by a short circuit, determine the currents in each resistance.

    Find I_1, I_2, and I_3.

    3. The attempt at a solution: I figured out the currents for the diagram with all shown sources but not sure what it means by replacing the 55v and 57v with a short circuit?
