Homework Help: Lenzs Law

    My question is...(referring to FIGURE 34.23) why would there be an induced magnetic field through the loop if the loop is not in a magnetic field in the first place?

    Hence if there is no mag field in the first place there is no magnetic flux and therefore there will not be an induced current and therefore there will not be an induced magnetic field.

    Never mind. The magnetic field is created by the current.
