In summary, the images are of a collection of purses that only Jessica Simpson could love, a giant dumbell, a catapult mechanism, and an art museum. The images are more recognizale, and if you are counter cultural aware you should be able to pick up on this location pretty quickly. Next week is back to work for me, and my vacation ends in a few hours.

This is a bit different, the images are more recognizale, and if you are counter cultural aware you should be able to pick up on this location pretty quickly.

Enjoy,
For me, vacation ends in a few hours, and my weekend begins, next week is back to work.

I'm definitely not counter-culturally aware.
So, I'll have to just go with my own interpretation:
1) A collection of purses that only Jessica Simpson could love
2) A giant dumbell
3) A more ordinary dumbell
4) A catapult mechanism (good for ridding oneself of the first three?)

 No idea at all! I'm guessing an art museum of some sort.

id say someplace south.. could be Arizona or Cali. Judging by a man walking vertically on a wall.. must be Cali, and judging by the 80's/90's style letter used in the sign.. must be some midclass place in Cali

Id speculate and go with LA?

Considering my other recent "Where am I" Threads, LA is a gimme, now where in the LA area where these pics taken?

You had other threads? News to me..

Sorry, never been to LA or Cali for that matter.. just a guess

Well, that guy looked like he was painted on the wall, the shadow too. But Southern California sounds good, and look at the palm trees! Judging from the concrete dumbell end, i'd say it was a university.

i thnk it was a theme park that sort of looks like Coney Island in Brooklyn.. but LA version

its by the ocean too and judging by the sun I'd say he is looking at the East-North so at normal angles it could be Manhattan Beach.. or Hermosa Beach Pier or Malibu Creek State Park

Just for fun, while this pic is not really related to the location of this thread, it is LA!

IIRC, you are in So Cal, Yep Venice Beach it is! My wife looks for off the wall tee shirts etc, this is a good place for it.

I just thougth that this was a pretty well done mural

What I do while the wife is browsing the shops

Edit:
Oh yeah, the cement dumb bell is at Muscle Beach, you see this in a lot of movies. Most shoots of Venice Beach show hot babes roller skating along dodgeing through the crowd, I saw the skates, no hot babes though!

Another thing I like is that I can't figure out what hitssquad avatar picture is of. Last time I looked it seemed it was a real person who had covered his body with blue-gray clay and put a mask on his face. But I'm still clueless what it really is, or why anyone would want to look like that.

Looks like anencephaly. I was never sure with the small pic, but the link is pretty convincing.

We are doing a last day in Disneyland then driving back to Oregon Saturday, so will not be able to go to a JPL open house. While I would love to do something like that I am afraid the rest of the family would be something less then trilled. We are staying in Anaheim, but did make a trip to Pasadena this week to find a restaurant my wife read about. (Pie & Burger, good but not worth the money, or time we spent to get it.)
