Linden Labs Loses 1/3 of It?s Workforce

    More bad news from the Virtual front. It looks like growth of the most well-known social virtual world, Second Life, has slowed considerably.     I have never understood why people would dump money into buying virtual things when that money is better spent buying real things. The Sims was about as close to Second Life as I ever got. I just can't see their customer base ever expanding beyond the more "geeky" types (I consider myself more of a nerd).
