Linkage-map units

    1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data
    What is the percentage of recombination of two genes separated by 66 map units?

    2. Relevant equation

    3. The attempt at a solution

    Maybe there appears to be no linkage? I don't know, by simple substitution it would be 66%.
    I don't think that's correct. I mean the book says its not 66%.
    Just wanted an opinion. Thank you

    I haven't learnt about these topics in so much detail. What we've been taught is just that (% of recombination = distance in centimorgans)
    With reference to that we were given this question, how do we solve it then?

    Did you read the link? It tells you how to do the calculation.
