I Literature on symmetry

  1. May 1, 2016 #1
I am looking for books/papers pertaining to symmetry principles in physics. I am particularly interested in literature aimed at deriving physical theories from their underlying symmetries, but all recommendations are welcome. I already know of the books Symmetries in Fundamental Physics by Sundermeyer and Physics from Symmetry by Schwichtenberg.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Landau & Lifshitz's Mechanics (vol. 1 of their Lectures) shows how the common conservation laws follow from symmetry principles.
