Log question

  1. Sep 20, 2008 #1
I was wondering what does log^3(n) mean (yes its log^3 (n) not log (n)^3)?

What do you mean with :" what does [tex] log^3n[/tex] mean? It is simply the third power of the log. Or are u asking how will that change the basic shape of the log function?

    Does that mean log^3 n = (logn)^3?

    Yes.

    Just like

    [tex]\sin^3x = (\sin x)^3[/tex]
