Lonelyness is the problem! Help!

  1. Nov 26, 2006 #1
Would an isolated metal atom(the metal is solid at normal temperature) hover or move randomly at room temperature, as gas molecules does?

Are metal vapours transparent or opaque?
Does the colour vary when they are in different physical state?
