    Is the an equation that can satify the following equation with out using any if statements?
    [tex]
    x(t) = \left\{
    \begin{array}{cc}
    1,&\mbox{ if }t = 0\\

    How about...
    [tex]x(t)=\left\lfloor{\frac{1}{t^2+1}}\right\rfloor[/tex]
    Heh. Or...
    [tex]x(t)=1-|sgn(t)|[/tex]
    Though that one's kind of cheating since it uses sgn(x). :/
    There are others...
