Loudspeakers physics problem

    When a loudspeaker is connect to a direct current the force is in the same direction right, and no vibration will occur... But what would happen if the batter was quickly switched off? I can't seem to work this question out... PLEASE help!

    The speaker has an equlibrium position maintained by the mounting of the speaker coil. When the DC is switched off, it will return to that position, eventually. What do you think is likely to happen before it finally comes to rest?
