Magnetic field blocking

    Does anyone know of a substance that can block a magnetic field

    Most metals will do that to some extent. There's an alloy called mu-metal that is particularly good at shielding magnetic fields and is used in a lot of medical imaging equipment. It tends to be rather expensive though.
